Who am I?
I'm Fred.
Born and raised in the Chicago area and residing in the city of Chicago for a long time, I'm a professional photographer that also creates art. Some serious, some not so much but when I follow my inspirations, the journey is always satisfying at the very least.
ABOUT MY PROCESS
My inspiration comes from many varied places. I see something in view, or in my mind's eye. Sometimes both. Then comes the first image, not always seen by others but a good start for me. Then I suss it out and go from there. Sometimes its only one image, other times a series. One major project started out as something completely different and the unexpected catharsis as I was working through it was transcendent.
I refuse to specialize. Its a limitation and I only enjoy possibilities.
